Everyone who ever met Haven said he was special. And they were all absolutely right. We had to make a choice last week to let him go today. He was tired and ready and no longer getting joy out of things he once loved. He had a weekend full of love, snuggles, steak and prime rib dinners and all the treats he asked for. He even had a few pieces of chocolate this morning, because no one should ever leave this world not having tasted chocolate. When I think about Haven, he was the most mischievous little dog…always at something, into something, causing chaos. But he was also the most loyal, good, and loving dog. He was truly the definition of a “good boy.” He left for the Rainbow Bridge today with us by his the side the whole time snuggling him and letting him know we love him, that we will miss him incredibly and that we will see him again when we get there.
