His name is Thor, he is a very friendly, loving, energetic and playful dog! Loves to be with people. 3 months ago he was diagnosed with Zinc-Responsive Dermatosis, this has led to dry, crusty skin around his mouth and eyes. The vet recommended a treatment of approximately 75mg of Zinc every day with his breakfast. The treatment is ongoing, but unfortunately due to an increase in work time, the person who used to watch him while I was at work getting a new job and no longer being able to, and some medical complications in my personal life, I am unfortunately no longer able to provide the love and care that this wonderful dog deserves.He is a great dog, house broken, knows “Here” (which means to come here), “Sit”, “Down”, and “Wait” (which means stay, but also used to make him wait for a treat). HE IS NOT OFF LEASH TRAINED!He is crate trained, and the crate I used will be provided with him, as he loves his cage, it is his own little safe space to lay down in, or keep his toys. He LOVES to play catch, fetch, tug or just run around and act goofy in general. He is good with kids, my two sisters loved to play with him, they were 14 when I got him. He does tug on the leash a bit, was a work in progress.He is good outside on a chain, doesn’t bark very much, might bark when someone comes up to the house, but that is about it.He is very friendly, and might jump up a bit when new people come around, but quickly stops, especially if you correct him the first time he does it, he just gets excited as he loves to meet new people.He does still “mouth play” with other dogs, where he will open his mouth and “mouth” the other dog, but no wounding or bleeding ever occurs. Due to getting him during COVID, socializing him with other dogs was tough to do, as so he didn’t get as much socializing as I would have liked, so that might be something to work on.All around, he is a great dog, which I loved dearly, but unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control, I am just unable to provide him with the time and love that he so dearly deserves.I will be including his bowls, some of his favorite treats, his toys, his crate, his harness (which I have added some small weights to, as he loves it, makes him feel like he is pulling a sleigh), a hands-free leash, a short chain training leash, a rope leash, as well as a LONG rope leash for training or playing at the park, and some new, still in the wrapper chew bones that he loves, as well as a good supply of his zinc supplements, just bought a 5.5lb bucket of his zinc powder, as well as a good amount of his food.Please, phone or email me with any questions, I will be happy to answer them, as I want to make sure he goes to a great home, with a family that can give him all the love he needs.My number is 250-920-6701, my email is included in the ad.
